American Entrepreneur Expo Set for June 28

Karen Rak Morris, Jaxon and Lexi, family of the late Ron Morris, will be hosting “The American Entrepreneur” EXPO on Sunday, June 28, 2015 to continue to honor and encourage our region’s entrepreneurs.   Supporting institutions include:  Duquesne University, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh Technology Council, Innovation Works,Mobile Food Truck entrepreneurs, and KDKA’s The Raja Show.

Ron Morris was the well-known host of The American Entrepreneurradio show, former Director of Entrepreneurial Studies at Duquesne University, a 12-time serial entrepreneur, sat on the Boards of seven companies, was an angel investor and mentor to hundreds of entrepreneurs and was the recipient of this region’s first and only Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 “Lifetime Achievement Award.”  Ron passed away of neuroendocrine cancer in June, 2012. 

In the hope of generating more entrepreneurs, the family will have a 45-minute program to kickoff the event and will be giving away over 5,000 of Ron’s former belongings, including books, promotional items such as hats, shirts, mugs etc., from his former businesses, and CDs personally created from his radio show bumper music.

Also announced:  Two of Ron’s books have been published and will be available for purchase for the first time at this event as well: 

- Morris’ 75 Immutable Laws of Life & Business

- Confessions of a Cockroach
