METERFEEDER AND TRAFFIC21 TO COLLABORATE ON SMART-PARKING INITIATIVES
Local parking tech firm to team up with CMU transportation research group to research & analyze traffic data and parking solutions in Western Pennsylvania
Faculty from Carnegie Mellon University’s Traffic21 Institute have reached a strategic agreement with local tech firm MeterFeeder, developers of an award-winning mobile parking app of the same name. The partnership will focus on leveraging MeterFeeder’s client relationships and technology platform in order to supply Traffic21 with anonymous parking data that the latter can use for its research. MeterFeeder will then apply that research to parking solutions in the marketplaces they serve.
“This data sharing relationship will support both organizations’ initial area of focus in western Pennsylvania, including the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area, looking to provide solutions centered around parking location management, parking enforcement management and dynamic parking pricing. We look forward to working together to deploy this exciting research in our community,” said Traffic 21’s Executive Director, Stan Caldwell, in a statement.
The partnership comes at a pivotal time in mobile parking management and for Pittsburgh-based MeterFeeder, whose app is currently live in the borough of Dormont, rolling out in Bellevue this month, and expanding into similar municipalities following shortly after. The Pittsburgh Parking Authority recently issued a request for proposals for a similar service, indicating a regional need for such a platform.

EASY E-COMMERCE ADDED TO SNAPRETAIL'S ONLINE MARKETING SOLUTION
