What does lunchtime mean to you? For MIX Salad Concept, Inc. co-founders Lia Vaccaro and Rachael Bane, lunchtime is an opportunity to bring Pittsburgh’s workforce nutritious and flavorful meals that satisfy. MIX Salad Concept, Inc. will deliver fresh and nutritious salads for lunch to area businesses, on a subscription basis. Employers can choose to offer this twice a week service as a perk to employees with a minimum order of 25 or individual subscription packages can also be purchased with the same minimum for delivery.  The menu changes monthly, based on the company’s commitment to sourcing locally as much as possible, but consists of four base options of Vegan, Vegetarian, Poultry, or Seafood.

Vaccaro, CEO and Co-Founder of MIX, emphasizes the value of using local food as a means to improve the effectiveness of corporate health & wellness programs.  “There is an abundance of fresh local food available to people in Pittsburgh, and with our company we aim to make it as simple to get these local foods into our customers’ diets as it is to order fast food take-out.”

Member companies of the Pittsburgh Technology Council can receive 15% off of their first month of service when they sign up for the company’s e-newsletter. Subscriptions can be purchased via www.mixsalads.com or any questions can be directed to info@mixsaladconcept.com.
