Summa Builds New Web Platform for United Way of Allegheny County

Screen Shot 2015-11-20 At 10.49.20 AMUnited Way of Allegheny County, now a part of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and Summa have launched an award-winning digital pledge platform for the long-established nonprofit organization. The new platform was developed to provide donors with a better user experience so they can help our community’s most vulnerable citizens. The platform went live on November 19, 2015.

The platform allows United Way’s corporate partners to customize their workplace campaigns, incorporating their brand, tailoring their message and offering various donation options. It uses technology to understand what matters most to donors and to strengthen its relationship to them by providing an experience that makes it easy for them to give to causes they are passionate about. The platform also supports individual donors with non-workplace donation campaigns and one-off gifts. 

United Way of Allegheny County asked Summa for a solution to build and sustain relationships with its constituents, including the younger generation of donors. That meant building a platform as mobile as they are, being able to offer volunteer projects to connect them to United Way’s mission, and staying connected to let them know the impact they have made.

Parking in Pittsburgh Just Got Easier

Customers using the “Go Mobile PGH” app can pay for parking with their smartphones using a free mobile application available from iPhone and Android. Additionally, Parkmobile customers from other cities can pay for parking in Pittsburgh using their current Parkmobile account. A toll free number (1-877-727-5281) is also posted on signage to make on-street payments for those without a smartphone.

The Go Mobile PGH app functions similarly to Parkmobile’s mobile payment system and is simple to use. Customers may register online at www.GoMobilePittsburgh.com or download the mobile app from their phone’s app store. ViaWest to Acquire INetU

INetU is a customer-centric solutions provider for public, private and hybrid cloud environments, coupled with deep managed security and compliance services.
