SDLC Partners, a leading provider of business and technology solutions, is announced that Bibhuti Aryal, Quality Assurance Manager, has been recognized as a 40 Under 40 Honoree. The 40 Under 40 program, sponsored by the Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP, recognizes 40 individuals under the age of 40 who are committed to making an impact in the region. Aryal was selected from a pool of 240 candidates.

Chris Dinnin, Vice President of Consulting Services is delighted by the news and stated, “Not only is Bibhuti a role model in the company due to his work ethic and commitment to delivering value to our clients, he also demonstrates a strong commitment to the community. Bibhuti is very deserving of this award and we are happy and proud to celebrate this significant achievement with him“. In addition to working as a full-time consultant, Aryal established the Rukmini Foundation in 2011 to address the root causes of discrimination and disenfranchisement of girls in vulnerable areas of Nepal.

Voci Technologies, the leader in accelerated Speech-to-Text transcription and analytics, today announced their release of V-Spark Voice Analytics™ 2.0. This latest release of V-Spark features new, customizable scorecard applications for more personalized call analysis and agent evaluation.

V-Spark 2.0 also contains a variety of new features to improve search capabilities, emotional intelligence, trending topic monitoring, and ease of use, among others. V-Spark’s variety of analytics tools has turned heads at multiple speech analytics companies as well. For the fourth year in a row AT&T finished atop the Progressive Policy Institute's (PPI) list of U.S. Investment Heroes. The annual study recognizes the top 25 American companies investing in the United States. As with last year's report, this year's report, U.S. Investment Heroes of 2015: Why Innovation Drives Investment, found telecom and cable companies to be the strongest sector for domestic capital spending, with AT&T leading the pack.

The Regional Transportation Alliance of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RTA), a public-private partnership designed to facilitate a broad community discussion about the future of transportation in the region, was launched. The RTA’s mission is to improve connectivity across the 10-county region, and in doing so, to improve competitiveness, economic vitality and quality of life throughout southwestern Pennsylvania. 

“Our region has a unique opportunity to approach our transportation future in a new and dynamic way,” said Dennis Yablonsky, CEO of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, the organization that is providing staff support to the RTA. “Act 89, the state transportation funding package passed in 2013, stabilized our transportation infrastructure maintenance situation. Now it’s time to look toward the future to imagine what is needed to create a better functioning, interconnected multimodal transportation network that benefits the entire region.” 

The RTA will be led by a 22-person steering committee that includes a public and private sector representative from each of the 10-counties and the City of Pittsburgh (a list of the steering committee members is available below). The first activity of the RTA will be an “Imagine Transportation” crowdsourcing initiative to identify transportation priorities through community feedback. 

PieceMaker Technologies, the leader in 3D printing for retail, enabling anyone to create their own personalized products right in their local store, announces the first steps in utilizing ExOne® technology to bring metal 3D printing into retail stores. At Maker Faire Pittsburgh 2015, October 10-11, PieceMaker will debut a variety of products through their on-site kiosks which for the first time, will be offered in 3D printed metal through ExOne. This collaboration between the two Pittsburgh based companies further establishes the region as an epicenter of advanced manufacturing and 3D printing.
