Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Workshop
On January 31, 2020, the US Department of Defense released the CMMC as a guideline for companies doing business with the Department of Defense.
According to the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, they recognize that security is foundational to acquisition and should not be traded along with cost, schedule, and performance moving forward. The Department is committed to working with the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) sector to enhance the protection of controlled unclassified information (CUI) within the supply chain.
The CMMC will encompass multiple maturity levels that ranges from “Basic Cybersecurity Hygiene” to “Advanced/Progressive”. The intent is to incorporate CMMC into Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and use it as a requirement for contract award.
If you are doing business with the DoD, or want to do business this workshop is for you.
During the workshop, attendees will learn:
• An Introduction of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC)
• History Leading to CMMC
• Establishment of CMMC
• Description of the framework
• Approaches to compliance
