Traditional Venture Capital Funding Cycles with Dustin Betz:
Dustin Betz is the director of operations at White Rose Ventures, a VC firm investing in Pennsylvania-based pre- and seed-stage startups across industry sectors. He has over a decade of experience working with early-stage companies, as a former D2C startup founder as well as previously a director of accelerator programming at Founder Institute HQ.
Alternative Funding Structures with Scott Christensen:
Scott Christensen is the Fund Manager at Chesapeake Bay Capital Fund, an investment fund that supports companies that improve water quality and address environmental resilience in the Chesapeake Bay. Scott has a background in finance, having worked as an investment banking analyst at Carolina Financial Group before joining Venture For America. Scott graduated from University of North Carolina, Charlotte with degrees in Political Science and Finance.
Angel Investing & Start-up Fundraising with Brian Scott:
Brian Scott is a seasoned business executive and angel investor, having built and grown several other multi-unit businesses. Mr. Scott earned his BA in History from the Pennsylvania State University and MS in Software Engineering from Gannon University. He is the CEO of PittMoss LLC, a Pittsburgh startup that creates recycled/upcycled substitute for peat moss. As a fifteen-year Angel Investor, Mr. Scott has screened more than 5,000 companies, has invested in more than 40 startups, and believes that PittMoss has the best opportunity for disruption than any of the other companies he has screened.
