Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA Names Audrey Russo 2022 Mardi Gras King

Pittsburgh Technology Council President and CEO Audrey Russo is being honored as the Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA (EAWCP) 2022 Mardis Gras King!

A Gala Event is set for May 3, 2022 at Westin Hotel Pittsburgh, to celebrate in true Mardis Gras style with plenty of entertainment and surprises planned for the entire evening.

The Tech Council is hoping the entire tech community will show up for the event to support EAWCP and celebrate Russo's passion for making Pittsburgh and its entire tech ecosystem unparalleled. 

Since 2007, Audrey Russo has served the technology business sector for southwestern PA as President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Technology Council. In this role, Russo facilitates strong interaction across all sectors of the regional economy, which she believes will only succeed and grow through technology innovation and commercialized disruptions across every platform and experience. With a background in information technology, operations and finance, Russo previously worked for large multi-national Fortune 500 companies (Alcoa, Reynolds Metals), as well as at MAYA Design, and in an adjunct faculty and project role at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Russo is committed to the complexity of Pittsburgh’s physical, literal and metaphorical terrain, and believes that vital cities are the moral imperative in achieving competitive, diverse and vibrant economies. She was the Board Chair for the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh. Russo is a serving board member at the following organizations: Regional Industrial Development Corporation (RIDC), Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Pittsburgh, CityLab, Highmark Business Advisory Board, the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and City of Asylum.

EAWCP is a private, non-profit service organization providing public education and supportive services to individuals and families affected by epilepsy/seizure disorders. It endeavors to improve the quality of life for persons with epilepsy/seizure disorders, and to dispel the myths, stigma, and misunderstandings associated with epilepsy.

With offices and staff in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, the EAWCP offers its nationally recognized programs and services to residents throughout western and central Pennsylvania.
