Tucker Arensberg, P.C. Expands Litigation Group by Adding Four Attorneys

PITTSBURGH, PA — The law firm of Tucker Arensberg, P.C., one of the premier law firms in Pittsburgh with offices in Harrisburg, New York, and the San Francisco Bay Area*, is pleased to announce the expansion of our litigation group by welcoming four Shareholder attorneys.

Michael P. Leahey brings nearly 20 years of experience in complex commercial litigation primarily in the industrial manufacturing sector to the firm. Michael has navigated multi-party litigation involving claims of premises liability, deliberate intent, indemnification, products liability, and workplace safety. In addition to ensuring the best litigation outcomes for clients, he works with many different groups within a business to develop processes surrounding risk avoidance and assessment. Michael is highly familiar the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) authorities. He has also handled coverage-related litigation including claims of breach of contract and bad faith relative to commercial general liability insurance, and environmental insurance policies.

Kristy L. Eiter brings her extensive knowledge handling toxic tort, asbestos-related, non-medical product liability claims, and general commercial litigation to Tucker Arensberg. Kristy has a wealth of experience in advising and assisting clients from the discovery process through trial preparation in the industries of minerals & mining, power generation, chemical processing, and construction. She has a proven track record of success in the courtroom. She is also skilled in fact investigation and development and provides clients with analyses and advice concerning issues and risk assessments, as well as strategies and best practices for litigation.

She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law.

Daniel R. Michelmore’s experience includes a diverse range of civil litigation matters in both state and federal courts and at both the trial court and appellate levels. Daniel has represented major electric utilities, motor carriers, and construction, cosmetic, and other companies in a myriad of litigation matters involving commercial disputes, contractual indemnity and insurance coverage issues, labor and employment matters, toxic exposure and environmental contamination claims, design and manufacturing defect cases, and the defense of serious personal injury and wrongful death claims.

Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Kenyon College and his law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. “I am honored to be joining the Tucker Arensberg team,” said Daniel. “I am confident that I will learn a great deal from my new colleagues and that I will be able to make a significant contribution to the firm's success.”

Stephen D. Colafella is a highly respected criminal trial attorney. He brings over 25 years of experience in white-collar criminal defense to Tucker Arensberg, P.C. Stephen has represented thousands of individuals, tried hundreds of cases to verdict in local, state, and federal court, and has been involved in numerous cases that have received regional and national attention. He is widely regarded as a top criminal trial attorney in Western Pennsylvania.
